At Go2Swim we are proud to follow the Amateur Swimming Association National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). It is an all-inclusive programme using fun and games to take children from the first splash to develop and grow in confidence and competence in the water. Your child's 'journey through aquatics' starts by developing early-years water confidence through our Parent & Baby and Parent & Toddler lessons which follows the Duckling awards scheme. The emphasis is on the development of very basic motor skills and an introduction to water and the swimming environment through fun and games. The NPTS follows 10 Stages, with clear progression between each stage. Stages 1 – 7 help develop the core range of FUNdamental skills your child needs to be confident, competent and safe in the water, whilst stages 8 – 10 offer the opportunity to develop skills from disciplines such as diving, water polo and Rookie Lifesaving in conjunction with the Royal Life-Saving Society. The syllabus provides opportunity and variety for swimmers, as well as providing a smooth, progressive structure to take them through the stages.
